Illinois Central College in East Peoria is seeking a Benefits Navigator to support student success through case management, basic needs assistance, and connecting students with benefits and community resources.

The role reports to the Director of Counseling Services and focuses on resource referrals, homelessness liaison, and coordinating campus programs like Cosmo’s Cupboard and Cosmo’s Closet. Start date 10/05/2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of experience with disadvantaged individuals and making community referrals.
• Two or more years of case management experience.
• Ability to drive a passenger van for food pantry distribution.
• Ability to relate and interact well with college students.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and benefits support for students' basic needs.
• Assist with eligibility for federal, state, and local benefits and referrals.
• Coordinate ICC food pantry programs and related facilities.
• Deliver presentations on resources and educational topics.
• Collect and analyze data for annual reports and metrics.
• Serve as liaison for homeless students and connect to resources.
• Coordinate resources for non-English speakers.
• Work with faculty and staff to connect students with resources.
