Grand Rapids Public Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at the Franklin Campus in Grand Rapids, MI to provide behavioral support for scholars needing extra help. You will collaborate with the school team, families, and teachers to keep students engaged and on track for learning.

The role requires strong communication, dependability, and ability to work in a dynamic urban school environment. Hours are Monday–Friday during the school day, with a one-hour lunch, and the salary is $15.77

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• A minimum of one semester of post-secondary coursework.
• Preferred: experience in educational settings.
• Preferred: experience working with at-risk scholars.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with a team approach to assess intervention options.
• Visit identified scholars to identify suitable options and support choices.
• Help peers with proactive decision-making to support learning goals.
• Develop positive relationships with scholars and the school community.
• Monitor hallways and encourage scholar attendance.
• Make calls to parents and conduct home visits when needed.
• Review scholar attendance and disciplinary data with the school team.
