Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous academic advising and/or counseling preferred.
• Demonstrate passion for student success.

Responsibilities

• Advise concurrent, freshman, sophomore, and transfer students (up to 60 earned credits) regarding academic planning, degree requirements, and university policies.
• Assist students in selecting majors, developing academic plans, and identifying career pathways that align with their educational goals.
• Guide students through enrollment, course registration, and academic planning for fall, spring, and summer terms.
• Monitor student progress toward degree completion using Banner and other systems.
• Develop individualized success plans for students facing challenges and connect them with campus resources.
• Coordinate writing center operations and ensure high-quality writing support for all students.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise peer writing tutors; provide ongoing professional development.
