Job summary

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater seeks an Academic Advisor to guide undergraduates pursuing Education and Human Sciences majors. You will teach First-Year Experience courses for freshmen and transfer students and collaborate with the department to support curriculum and student progress.

You will meet regularly with administrators, assist with leadership programs and events, manage student records, advise prospective students and families, and handle special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or conferred on/before start date.
• 0-2 years experience in a comparable position.
• Exempt/senior levels require more experience as listed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as academic adviser to undergraduates in Education and Human Sciences.
• Teach First-Year Experience courses for freshmen and/or transfer students.
• Collaborate with the academic unit and communicate with administrators about curriculum and practices.
• Assist with student leadership development programs and College events.
• Manage student records and advise prospective students and families as needed.
