Job summary

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is seeking an Advisor, NC Boost to empower students to design academic and career goals and take ownership of their journey.

The role delivers holistic support through academic advising, program navigation, career exploration, and financial readiness while handling advising for new, enrolled, and prospective students, including course selection and retention services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution is required.
• One year of admissions or academic advisement experience is required.
• Two years of full-time responsible secretarial and clerical experience is required.
• Experience with Excel/office software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning, implementation, and resources to support engagement, retention, and degree completion of assigned students.
• Assists students in course selection, monitors progress, and mentors on policies and personal development.
• Provides advising assistance to a diverse student population and assists with degree plan/audit preparation.
• Reviews student progress and tracks use of academic support services.
• Conducts outreach to faculty and staff to support student success.
