Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Thrive Advisor to join the Thrive@Carolina Campus Hubs, delivering student-centered support from acceptance through graduation while managing a caseload and teaching up to 4 sections of a one-credit course, First-Year Thriving, to meet accreditation requirements.

This 12-month, full-time EHRA Non-Faculty role may include evening hours; strong communication and collaboration with campus partners are essential to helping students succeed and

Qualifications

• Two years of professional direct student support and programming experience.
• Appreciation and understanding of a liberal arts education.
• Experience or training in social justice, diversity and/or cultural competence.
• Excellent judgment, communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student support and counseling across an assigned caseload.
• Teach up to 4 sections of First-Year Thriving per academic year and meet SACS requirements.
