Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 3–5 years of classroom teaching experience is required.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting early-career teachers.
• Ability to build trust and rapport quickly across individuals and school contexts.
• Strong mentoring skills including active listening and reflective questioning.
• Coaching stance that builds agency and self-efficacy; non-evaluative.
• Strong organizational skills; reliable in documenting coaching activity.
• Comfort using virtual meeting platforms for scheduling, communication, and reporting.
• Available to work in person on ECISD campuses during the school day (up to 15–20 hrs/wk).

Responsibilities

• Direct, job-embedded coaching & mentoring for assigned teachers.
• Conduct regular in-person coaching visits including classroom observations and feedback cycles.
• Identify resources supporting professional growth of early career teachers.
• Provide just-in-time, personalized support responsive to individual needs.
• Help teachers build agency, confidence, and belonging on campus.
• Align coaching with UTPB coursework, milestones, and classroom demands.
• Maintain confidential, non-evaluative relationships with mentees.
• Coordinate with district initiatives to support teacher growth.
