Youngstown State University seeks an Academic Success Coordinator to provide advising, instruction, and coaching to a caseload of students. The role includes monitoring progress through an early alert system, coordinating referrals, and preparing retention reports for program improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate with campus offices to identify student needs, coordinate services, and contribute to department programming and student involvement in campus activities.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor’s degree and two years of related and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in academic support or student retention programs in a higher education setting.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in education or related field and three years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Advises and mentors a caseload of students from orientation through their first year.
• Provides individual academic coaching and follows up on progress.
• Monitors progress via early alert system and coordinates referrals.
• Develops educational goal plans and maintains student records.
• Collaborates with campus offices to identify needs and coordinate services.
• Prepares retention reports and supports program assessment.
