Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks a grant-funded AEFL Coordinator to support Adult Education & Family Literacy programs. You will assist students, faculty, and staff across campus locations, coordinating academic and tutoring services and helping with recruitment and retention.

This 100% in-person role is based at the Milwaukee Downtown campus, with hours around 38.75 per week. Start date is ASAP; funding through 6/30/27, with preference for a Master’s degree and five+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with emphasis in Higher Education or related field.
• At least three total years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: Master's degree and five or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience in community-based or education settings is valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate academic and tutorial support for AEFL programs.
• Provide course placement and monitor student progress; assist in referrals and job placement.
• Advise students on enrollment, financial aid, and program requirements.
• Maintain records and prepare reports; ensure grant compliance.
• Collaborate with campus offices, community organizations, and staff to support student success.
