Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College invites applications for a grant-funded AEFL Coordinator position. You will coordinate academic and tutorial support, assist with recruitment and retention, and perform data entry and reporting using the Online Client Report System.

Responsibilities include advising students on enrollment, coordinating tutoring, and collaborating with admissions, counselors, and community-based organizations to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with emphasis in Higher Education, Education Administration, Adult Education or related field.
• At least three total years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree or higher and five+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides course placement, monitors grade level gains, case management for referrals to IET programs; transitions student to post-secondary program and/or job placement.
• Provides information about services available to students; collaborates with admissions, counselors and staff to monitor referrals and progress.
• Advises students on enrollment and program requirements; assists with financial aid applications; admissions and program registration; informs about course availability and changes.
• Advises students with class selection; assesses test scores, reviews transcripts and program plans; provides entry options and curriculum guidance.
• Maintains records and prepares reports; monitors attendance and student contacts.
• Collaborates with community based organizations (CBOs); supports registration and program availability; orients new staff to grant guidelines.
• Coordinates tutoring/instructional support and distributes resources for Basic Skills at CBO sites; follows instructor recommendations.
• Compiles and presents center progress reports; ensures reporting meets grant requirements.
• Delivers excellent customer service across face-to-face, phone, email and print transactions.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with students, faculty and external partners; participates in meetings and professional activities.
• Performs other duties to support division operations.
