Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an Academic Advising Coordinator to support students, faculty, and staff across campus locations. You will respond to inquiries, maintain confidentiality, coordinate calendars, and assist with registration and advising. Training students on the portal and providing outreach are key responsibilities.

Evening/weekend hours may be required, with travel to additional CCTC locations as needed to support recruiting and retention events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher is required.
• Experience in higher education working with students.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and campus administrators.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with FERPA and college policies.
• Update program materials, manage calendars, schedule meetings and events, prepare and maintain meeting minutes.
• Greet visitors and route calls to support students, advising staff, and faculty.
• Assist with student registration; provide information regarding scheduling and advising; help students find resources.
• Train students on navigating the student portal and MyCCTC resources.
• Provide outreach to students via email, phone, video, or in-person meetings.
• Use college resources and refer students to services based on needs.
• Work with Advisement & Support Center staff to promote guidelines and information on academic programs.
• Support recruiting, enrollment, and retention events; facilitate outreach at outreach campuses.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required and travel to other CCTC locations.
