The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least two years of advising experience, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and Ellucian

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required in Education, Social Work, Human Services or related field.
• Master’s degree in related fields preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ professional advising experience.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and provide advising, support, career and transfer guidance.
• Excellent oral and written communication and confidential information handling.
• MS Office and database management skills; familiarity with Ellucian student information systems.

Aufgaben

• Provide academic advisement on requirements and course selection for assigned students.
• Assist with coordinating academic advisement during registration periods.
• Maintain accurate records for each advisee and evaluate progress each semester.
• Utilize the college’s early alert system (Starfish) for caseload management.
• Monitor registrations and suggest alternatives; maintain frequent contact with advisees.
• Collaborate with faculty advisors to support students and perform degree audits.
