Job summary

St. Charles Community College (SCC) seeks creative, motivated students to serve as Student Social Media Influencers for Fall 2026. You will represent SCC across social media by creating authentic, informative content that connects with prospective and current students.

This hands-on role develops professional skills in digital marketing, branding, storytelling, and content creation. You will plan, script, film, and edit videos, collaborate on campaigns, cover live events, and engage followers in

Qualifications

• Current enrolled SCC student eligible for student employment in Spring 2026.
• Comfortable and confident speaking on camera.
• Strong public speaking and communication skills.
• Experience with video editing (CapCut, Canva, or similar tools).
• Working knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Understanding of current social media trends and best practices.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and adhere to guidelines.
• Creative mindset with strong storytelling ability.

Responsibilities

• Create short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, Stories, etc.) aligned with brand guidelines
• Appear on camera to share student experiences, campus highlights, and event coverage
• Plan, script, film, and edit original social media content
• Collaborate with the marketing team on campaign ideas, content calendars, and appropriate approvals
• Assist with live event coverage and promotional initiatives
• Engage with followers in a professional and brand‑aligned manner
