Qualifications

• Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
• Professional, dependable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and current social media trends.
• Interest in social media, marketing, communications, content creation, or digital storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing Wilkinson College social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Blue Sky, and LinkedIn.
• Create and edit social media content, including graphics, captions, stories, reels, photos, and short-form video.
• Schedule and publish content using PostPone.com and maintain an organized social media calendar.
• Monitor the social media group email and route requests to the appropriate team member.
• Promote Wilkinson College events, programs, student opportunities, faculty accomplishments, alumni stories, and other college initiatives.
• Assist with developing social media campaigns designed to increase awareness, followers, reach, and engagement.
• Review social media analytics and identify trends and opportunities to improve content performance.
• Monitor comments and direct messages and assist with responses when appropriate.
• Provide live or same-day social media coverage during selected college events.
• Cross-promote relevant events and initiatives from Wilkinson departments, programs, and university partners.
• Collaborate with Dean’s Office staff and other student workers on social media and marketing projects.
• Assist with additional communications and marketing projects as assigned.
