Job summary

The University of La Verne is seeking a Creative Communications and Social Media Student Assistant (FWS) to enhance brand visibility and engage internal and external communities. You will craft stories, write posts, and help manage university channels.

Reporting to the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications, you will develop content for digital platforms, participate in social media planning, create visuals, assist with publicity and outreach, and support email campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience writing content for a business or organization (press releases, articles, social captions).
• Experience working with social media platforms.
• Experience in a professional, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging written and visual content for digital platforms.
• Plan and curate original content for university social media.
• Collaborate to create graphics and videos supporting branding.
• Assist with publicity and outreach activities and events.
• Support email marketing campaigns and audience segmentation.
• Research industry trends to inform digital presence.
• Analyze social media metrics and report findings to the team.
• Perform other tasks as needed by the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications.
