Job summary

The State of South Carolina library system is seeking a Library Assistant to work with students, faculty, and the public. You will help locate physical and digital resources for projects and classes, and support various student services including the admissions and financial aid processes.

Responsibilities include proctoring tests for PTC and other colleges, engaging in student activities, and cross-training for multiple office duties related to admissions, records, and continuing education.

Qualifications

Must possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties as needed.
Minimum of an Associate's degree and prior MS Office experience.

Responsibilities

Assist students locating resources, physical and digital, for projects and classes.
Assist with application process, financial aid, and other student needs.
Proctors tests for PTC and other colleges.
Promote the library and its resources and engage with students and the public.
Cross-train for duties pertaining to admissions, business office, financial aid, student records, continuing education, monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, answering phones, proctoring tests, and other duties as assigned.
