Job summary

MiraCosta College in Oceanside, CA is seeking an Academic Services Specialist to support Dual Enrollment programs, assist with student recruitment and onboarding, and coordinate with K-12 partners to promote college-going culture among underserved populations.

The position is full-time, grant-funded through Oct 31, 2028, with a standard schedule of Mon–Fri 8:00–4:30, on-campus presence required, and starting salary of $74,943 per year plus annual step increases.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and one year of related work experience in instructional or student services; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is desirable.
• Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operation of an instructional services program or department; front-desk coverage and matriculation support.
• Deliver orientations and presentations to students, parents, counselors, and staff; represent the program at events.
• Coordinate logistics of major events, including vendors, facilities, and budgets.
• Utilize CRM to track student progress and communicate with stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to program leadership and maintain records and reports.
