Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Advise students on study abroad programs with individual and group advising.
  • Update brochures and program information with current data.
  • Cultivate marketing initiatives for OGE via website, social media, and campus initiatives; liaise with Univ Communications.
  • Oversee application tracking; ensure documentation and coordinate placements with partners.
  • Organize orientations and guidance on visas, travel logistics, and safety.
  • Collaborate with faculty, campus offices, and international partners.
  • Act as a point of contact for students abroad and assist with emergencies.
  • Coordinate logistics for faculty-led and exchange programs; travel, housing, enrollment.
  • Process payments and submit timely expense reports per policy.
  • Present to campus about Study Abroad/Exchange opportunities.
  • Serve as primary campus contact for exchange partner institutions.

Job Summary

The Student Services Coordinator (Outbound) manages day-to-dayoperations of outgoing exchange and study abroad program supportservices and conducts outgoing student advisement and programdevelopment on Georgia Southern's Statesboro & Savannahcampuses. This position oversees study abroad and exchange studentprograms throughout the application, advising, departure, andreturning processes, adhering to best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Advise Students on Study Abroad Programs, provideindividualized and group advising on program options, applicationprocedures, and academic planning
  • Update website brochures and program information with the mostcurrent information
  • Cultivate marketing initiatives and projects for OGE bymanaging the department website, social media, and pursuing othercampus-wide initiatives, as well as serve as the OGE liaison forUniversity Communications and Marketing
  • Oversee application tracking, ensure documentation is complete,and coordinate student placements with partner institutions
  • Organize orientations and provide guidance on visas, travellogistics, cultural adjustment, and health and safety
  • Collaborate with faculty, campus offices, and internationalpartners to support student participation and ensure smoothprocesses
  • Act as a point of contact for students abroad, assist withemergency protocols, and monitor global developments impactingtravel
  • Help coordinate logistics for faculty-led and exchangeprograms, including travel, accommodations, and enrollment
  • Process payments for program-related expenses and submitaccurate, timely expense reports in accordance with institutionalpolicies
  • Present to campus and classrooms about Study Abroad/Exchangeopportunities
  • Serve as the primary campus contact for exchange partnerinstitutions and 3rd party providers

Proposed Salary

$20.71 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweeklybasis.
