Job description

*TekSystems is currently hiring for several FULLY REMOTE Call Center, Customer Service Representatives. This position would be on EST hours, so candidates MUST be able to work those hours.*

*MUST HAVE: Call center experience, teaching experience, or similar backgrounds are a plus.*

Description

Purpose of the position:

Remote role serving as the primary contact for families, reporting to the Supervisor of Student Services within the Customer Engagement & Retention Department. Responsibilities include customer support, onboarding, and academic placement for students.

Core Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Assist families via inbound calls with questions and account updates.
  2. Advocate for students to navigate their enrollment experience.
  3. Review student accounts, address outstanding tasks, and recommend actions for success.
  4. Organize workflow to ensure effective time management, data integrity, communication, and student retention.
  5. Maintain accurate student records in online systems.
  6. Participate in outbound calls for onboarding and retention.
  7. Ensure compliance with FERPA to protect student privacy.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of FERPA and privacy policies.

Qualifications:

  • Call center and customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with students and families.
  • Experience working virtually.
  • Experience with EMS/SIS/Enrollment platforms preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $17.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, PTO, and more, subject to eligibility and plan specifics.
