Job summary

The University of Utah is seeking a part-time School Programs Assistant (Work-Study) to support the Field Trip and Teacher Resources Team. Duties include data entry, inventory, and assisting with field trip programming and classroom activities.

The position requires availability in the morning hours and involves moving toolbox kits and assisting educators with student groups. Training and URS options may be provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

Responsibilities

• Handles weekly routine tasks associated with the logistics of assigned education program.
• Assists with data entry and reporting.
• Manages inventory supply lists and materials for assigned educational programs.
• Physically lifts and moves toolboxes around NHMU for teacher access and inventory.
• Performs office tasks to support the Field Trips, Teaching Toolboxes, and other programming.
• Acts as assistant during education programs, often interacting with K-12 students during a field trip.
• Clearly communicates needs, goals, and updates via email and in-person.
