Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and diagnostics.
• Oxygen administration and titration.
• Aerosol therapies and medication delivery.
• Lung clearing treatment modalities.
• Adult non-invasive and invasive ventilation; pediatric ventilation.
• Arterial blood gas collection and analysis; bedside spirometry.
• Removal and collection of body fluids in the airway; maintaining the natural airway.
• Trach change outs; other procedures with training.
• Record all procedures in patient records; assist with quality improvement.
• Maintain and clean equipment; function as a member of Code and Ice teams.
