Job summary

College of the Mainland is seeking a Student Resource Coordinator to coordinate services for students in need under the Dean of Students. The role focuses on advocacy, case management, and building community resource connections to support College of the Mainland students.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in related fields; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, with a Master’s degree and college experience ideal. This is a full-time on-site role at COM in Texas City.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • Experience identifying and procuring support services for students; working with college populations is preferred.
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology or Sociology; experience in a community college is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and advocacy services to College of the Mainland students.
  • Coordinate referrals to appropriate community resources.
  • Operate COM Food Market and supervise staff/volunteers.
  • Follow up with students to ensure successful connection to services.
  • Research referrals for students across campus and community networks.
  • Coordinate campus events like the Resource Fair and Market promotions.
