Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises, Inc. is seeking Part-Time Undergraduate Research Student Assistants to support robotics research under NSF CREST grant leadership. You will work 20 hours weekly during semesters and summers, contributing to motion, grasp, and regrasp planning of robotic manipulators.

Join a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers under faculty supervision to learn, research, and mentor. This position emphasizes independent work, collaboration, and hands-on robotics AI project

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Cal Poly Pomona STEM majors and have interest in research and field work.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer coding skills, especially in Machine Learning and AI fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

SUMMARY

Currently searching for Part-Time Undergraduate Research Student Assistants to work on the CREST Grant, under the supervision of Dr. Ellips Masehian and Dr. Shokoufeh Mirzaei. This team is composed of graduate and undergraduate researchers dedicated to Motion, Grasp, and Regrasp Planning of Manipulator Robots for Agile Manufacturing and Assembly. We are looking for highly motivated individuals, who are willing to research, learn, and mentor to join our team. The Funding is from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety)
