Job summary

Lamar State College Orange is seeking an Admissions and Recruitment Specialist to support recruitment and enrollment efforts by building relationships with prospective students, families, high school partners, and community organizations.

The role represents LSCO at recruitment events, college fairs, high school visits, and campus activities, providing accurate information about programs, admissions, and student services. Evening/weekend work and travel are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of an associate degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred.
• Two years of work experience in customer service, public education, or in education with a focus on student success, advising, counseling, career placement or other related initiatives.
• Above average skills in the utilization of computer systems, Banner, Argos, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, administrators, community organizations, workforce partners, and other student-serving organizations.
• Recruit prospective students through high school visits, college fairs, community events, campus events, presentations, and individual appointments.
• Conduct engaging presentations about LSCO's academic programs, admissions process, financial aid, student life, and campus opportunities.
