Job summary

Management & Training Corporation's Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo, HI is seeking a Recreation Assistant to support at-risk students with recreational activities. Salary is $18.50 per hour with 1-12 hours as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

The role includes monitoring recreational areas, cleaning and setup, and delivering customer service to students, staff and center customers. Training and leadership development are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of 90 days in the program.
• No NIR's or excessive absences within the past 90 days.
• Letter of recommendation from academic/trade instructor & Sr. Residential Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the recreational areas.
• Clean and set up activities.
• Provide positive customer service to students, staff and center customers.
• Participate in leadership training.
• Support CDSS by implementing activities and programs.
• Maintain property accountability; adhere to safety practices; attend required trainings.
• Promote Career Success Standards by mentoring students and guiding behavior.
• Support the center's Zero Tolerance Policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
