Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a Student, Radiology Tech. You will assist during patient examinations, ensure accurate positioning, and help maintain safety and efficiency in the radiology suite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working on completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (verification from school is required).

Responsibilities

• Ensures that patient examinations are performed in an accurate and timely manner; not to exceed 30 minutes. Provides accurate patient positioning, computer entries and filming.
• Maintains an effective use of time, reports availability accordingly. Demonstrates a willingness and ability to assist others. Consistently displays team effort.
• Applies knowledge to produce high quality diagnostic images with use of professional knowledge to meet or exceed department guidelines.
• Maintains exam accuracy, i.e., minimum views, labeling, patient dose, positioning, patient history and shielding. Minimizes patient exposure. Maintains a safe working environment.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment performance. Reports malfunctions to supervisor. Conveys to supervisor any problems related to supplies or equipment as well as information pertaining to the problem.
