Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Student Protections Specialist to respond to critical reports of sexual misconduct and harassment within the Office of Student Protections. The role advises school administrators on reporting protocols, coordinates with investigators and clinical resources, and ensures compliant documentation and Title IX processes.

The position is field-based and requires reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Clinical Psychology preferred.
• Minimum five years in a clinical setting with crisis response experience.
• Experience navigating the Title IX grievance process.
• Experience in urban school districts preferred.
• Experience with LGBTQ-youth advocacy preferred.
• Bilingual highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to high-level incidents of sexual misconduct, harassment, bias-based harm, and abuse.
• Advise school administrators from reporting to resolution on protocols and investigations.
• Coordinate with OSP investigators and clinical resources.
• Ensure compliant documentation for Title IX processes.
• Build relationships with assigned school communities and staff.
