Job summary

University of Texas Rio Grande Valley seeks a Program Coordinator to support the Math and Science Academy. The role collaborates with the Office of Community Engagement and faculty to identify research opportunities, local scholarships, and community partnerships.

You will guide students through internships, applications, and presentations while coordinating clubs and events. The position involves managing projects, supervising staff, budgeting, and liaising with internal and external partners

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university.
Three years of related experience in program planning/coordination, or one year with a Master's degree, or five years with an Associate degree/60 hours, or seven years with a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support student clubs and organizations (NHS, Student Council) and assist with events such as information sessions, orientations, and seminars.
Oversee program implementation and ensure activities align with objectives.
Supervise day-to-day activities and personnel of the program.
Develop and supervise multiple projects or programs.
Assist with budget planning and monitor expenditures.
Identify and connect students with research opportunities and internships across departments.
