Job summary

University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Program Associate for the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy (NCPA) in Lincoln, NE. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, you will provide personalized academic support and coordinate multi-day summer programs for NCPA students and recruit through Omaha partnerships.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, public speaking, and the ability to work with first-generation/low-income students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Public speaking experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with first generation, low-income and ethnic-minority students desired.
• Experience relating to K-12 age populations.
• Weekend and evening hours required.
• Travel required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized academic support and guidance for NCPA students.
• Coordinate multi-day summer programming for NCPA high school students at UNL.
• Coordinate recruitment programs in Omaha.
• Meet with school counselors and prospective students; interact with community organizations.
• Plan and implement events for recruitment/retention of first-generation/low-income students.
• Serve as liaison between UNL, Omaha and communities.
