University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for the Assistant Director of Admissions to lead undergraduate recruitment for transfer, military, low-income, and first generation students. The role supervises staff and partners with high schools, community programs, and colleges, guiding recruitment strategies with data-informed decisions.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree plus two years in education, business, or related fields, strong communication, and willingness to travel.
The Assistant Director of Admissions will have direct responsibility for undergraduate recruitment efforts for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This individual will coordinate undergraduate recruitment efforts for transfer, military, low-income, and first generation prospective students. This team member will also provide supervision for assigned recruitment areas. The team member will supervise multiple staff in the office and will serve as a consultant to many other teams and campus partners on transfer, military, low-income, and first generation prospective students. This position will serve as a liaison between UNL and high schools, community programs, and community colleges and will help grow partnerships for the university. This person will work with associate director to set priorities as it relates to transfer, military, low-income and first generation prospective students. The position will provide updates to associate director on analysis of data and ensure that goals are met; actions taken consistent with this analysis and provide recommendations on recruitment strategies; interpretation of recruitment policies and exercises authority and independent judgment in making recruitment decisions on a case-by-case basis.
