Job summary

Albright College in Reading, PA is seeking a Promise Scholars Student Assistant to provide general administrative support for the Promise Scholars/ACT 101 Program. You will be a mentor to first-year students, greet visitors, and help with events while maintaining confidentiality and strong organizational skills.

The role involves assisting with lending laptops, campus communications, and cross-department projects, with a focus on student success and program services.

Qualifications

• The student must be an undergraduate with a GPA of at least 2.7.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong communication and organization.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk tasks: answer calls, receive visitors, and handle correspondence.
• Greet students, answer questions, and assist with campus inquiries.
• Support Promise Scholars events and cross-department projects.
• Assist with event prep and the Lending Library/loaner laptops.
• Create event fliers using Canva and similar tools.
• Make copies, scans, and run campus errands as needed.
• Help with Peer Allies mentoring and other duties.
