Job summary

Usmd is seeking a Program Coordinator to advance the IAP, coordinating recruitment, advising, tutoring, and program operations in support of college access and student success.

The role collaborates with UGST, oversees communications, events, and alum networks, and requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year coordinating programs or events. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 1 year of professional program, outreach, or event coordination experience.
• Additional work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis up to 4 years.
• Knowledge of outreach and marketing strategies; clerical and administrative procedures; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and Selection: manage outreach initiatives in assigned geographic regions, deliver IAP presentations at high schools, process applications and documents.
• Advising and Scholar Tracking: provide cases-based advising, identify interventions, and track scholars’ progress.
• Tutoring Component: identify, hire and support tutors and coordinate schedules and payments.
• Program Coordination: oversee alumni database, direct student committees, manage supplies and office operations.
• Publications & Communication: collaborate on website updates, newsletters, social content, and outreach communications.
