About the Job

The Department of Biology is seeking motivated undergraduate student employees to monitor and manage content on our social media outlets and assist with advertising for the department. This position offers remote and flexible hours.

Under the direction of the Biology department, the job duties include:

1. Managing the day-to-day handling of departmental social media outlets
2. Posting events and notifications
3. Monitoring social media channels
4. Interacting with users and responding to messages, inquiries, and comments
5. Assisting with advertising and media for the department

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a current UMD student, with or without work-study
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Canva

Pay and Benefits

Pay Rate: $15.25 per hour
