Auburn University Outreach is seeking a Student Media Production Assistant to help with video, photo, and audio projects that publicize initiatives within the division. You must be an undergraduate student at Auburn University, ideally in Media Studies, Journalism, or related fields.

You will assist with filming, editing, and post-production tasks, contribute to social media content creation, and collaborate with a videographer and graphic designer. A portfolio or samples are required to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Preferred: Visual Media Studies, Film Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related fields.
• Experience with shooting a DSLR camera.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
• Portfolio or work samples required.

Overview

Auburn University Outreach is seeking to hire an Student Media Production Assistant. The production assistant will assist with various video, photo, and audio projects to help publicize initiatives within the division of Outreach. Applicants should be undergraduate students in Media Studies, Journalism, Sports Production, or a related field. Candidates outside these majors with extensive experience shooting and editing video will be considered. The Student Media Production Assistant will help with the creation of video content, assisting with filming, editing, and post-production tasks.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to shoot video and edit.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergradaute Student studying Visual Media Studies Film Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Communication, Marketing or related fields.
  • Expereince with shooting a DSLR Camera
  • Knowledge and experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom
  • Students from any major with demonstrated experience in videography, photography, video editing, motion graphics and digital storytelling are encouraged to apply.
