Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College seeks an experienced New Student Orientation Coordinator to lead the mandatory orientation program and ensure a welcoming entry for new students and their families.

The role reports to the Dean within Student Affairs and requires collaboration across campus services to deliver content, assess outcomes, and communicate effectively. This position supports recruitment and student success initiatives and may involve campus events and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required.
• Master's Degree in student affairs or related field preferred.
• National Career Readiness Certificate preferred.
• Bilingual English Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of a year long mandatory new student orientation program.
• Lead the hiring process training advising and supervision of Student Ambassadors and orientation leaders.
• Coordinate the selection training and supervision of new student orientation interns.
• Manage orientation budget.
