Job summary

Grand Rapids Community College is seeking a New Student Orientation Coordinator to lead the mandatory orientation experience and strengthen student access, success and retention. Reporting to the Dean of Strategic Outreach, you will oversee program delivery, staffing, and content across campus locations.

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master’s Degree in student affairs or related field preferred
• National Career Readiness Certificate preferred
• Bilingual, English-Spanish preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of a year-long mandatory new student orientation program
• Lead the hiring process, training, advising, and supervision of Student Ambassadors
• Coordinate the selection, training, and supervision of new student orientation interns
• Coordinate annual pre-semester events and collaborations with college services
• Develop and manage communication plans and promotional materials for orientation
