Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking undergraduate IT Desktop Support Interns for Spring 2027. This onsite role is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio, offering hands-on experience with Windows workstations and IT support concepts.

You will learn to troubleshoot software/hardware, track tickets, document changes, and collaborate with diverse teams. Internship requires full-time student status, 2nd year+, GPA 3.0+, and 24 hours/week availability.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student (2nd year or above preferred).
• GPA 3.0+ preferred and transcripts required (unofficial acceptable).
• Must be able to work at least 24 hours per week.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Build/configure Windows workstations for associates.
• Perform advanced software/hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and respond to user questions.
• Track and update open calls and/or upscale problems.
• Assist with documenting, maintaining, upgrades or replacing hardware and software systems.

Desktop Support Intern(s) Will

• learn new development tools and technical stacks with hands on development projects
• build/configure Windows workstations for associates
• perform advanced software/hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
• troubleshoot and respond to user questions
• track and update open calls and/or upscale problems
• assist with documenting, maintaining, upgrades or replacing hardware and software systems

Starting Pay: Begins at $18 per hour and is based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• understanding of front-end/back-end or full-stack development concepts

Candidates should have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT).

Requirements

• enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student at an accredited college/university (2nd year or above preferred)
• all majors are welcome to apply
• collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)
• in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
• must be able to work at least 24 hours per week
• proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software
