Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite operations and, Student Web Services Portal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Strong record-keeping and assessment skills.
• Ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with completing applications and securing placement through placement test appointments or waivers under multiple measures.
• Provide academic advisement to students
• Assist students with registering for courses and degree programs that lead to the achievement of their academic goals.
• Provide academic advisement and support mentorship activities to students
• Provide information about the federal financial aid application process.
• Provide guidance and information to students on the college, its programs, and available academic and non-academic student support services.
• Collaborate with representatives from academic and non-academic departments to resolve student issues.
• Participate in (part-time staff do not attend professional conferences) training and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and security of student records.
• Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.
