Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education or a relevant field.
• Seven years of experience in higher education.
• Knowledge of FERPA and university policies, procedures, and resources.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in resolving student-related concerns through interpretation of policies and procedures and resolution strategies.
• Review and propose changes to university policies and procedures.
• Serve as a mediation resource to faculty, staff, and administrators handling student conflicts.
• Facilitate confidential mediation and conflict-resolution processes for enrolled students.
• Market the Office of the Student Ombuds through presentations and outreach.
• Support senior leadership by advising on student-related issues and outcomes.
