Job summary

The California State University Stanislaus is seeking a temporary, part-time Student Assistant in the McNair Scholars Program (FWS). The role supports a busy office with data entry, calendars, event setup, and front-desk assistance for students, faculty, and staff. Starting September 1, 2026 and ending May 21, 2027, with potential renewal based on budget and performance.

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

Responsibilities

Answer emails and direct to the appropriate personnel.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
File and organize documents.
Assist with data entry and maintaining spreadsheets.
Schedule appointments and manage calendars.
Greet and assist visitors.
Provide information and assistance to students, faculty, and staff.
Respond to inquiries in person, via email, and over the phone.
Assist in preparing and setting up materials for events or meetings.
Support faculty or staff with research or projects as needed.
Help organize and manage events, workshops, or seminars.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, work hours, and other required documentation.
