Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks a Nursing Student Intern (PRN) as part of the Health Professionals program for May 2027 nursing graduates. Under supervision of the RN and OU College of Nursing faculty, you will work with a preceptor to complete critical care clinical hours and routine patient-care tasks.

Open to senior nursing students enrolled in OU College of Nursing, you will perform monitored treatments, follow the plan of care, and maintain clear communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a senior nursing student in an accredited college of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities include nursing techniques, effective communication, and following written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the RN and in collaboration with the patient and family, monitors the patient’s health status and implements the plan of care and tasks defined by the RN.
• Performs treatments and procedures as defined by the skills competency checklist.
