Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks an Inpatient Pharmacy Intern PRN to assist in the preparation and distribution of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include processing orders, preparing IV admixtures, using the management software, and ensuring safety and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; enrollment in a college of pharmacy recognized by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy or NABPLEX internship.
• Current Oklahoma licensed intern permit in good standing.
• Enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy approved by OSBP, or NABPLEX internship pathway.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist on duty with tasks necessary for the operation of the pharmacy.
• Review medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness under supervision.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and sterile products under laminar flow hood with aseptic technique.
• Input, fill, package, and deliver patient prescriptions using pharmacy management software.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy and communicate clearly with staff and patients.
• Report safety issues and errors promptly to a supervisor.
