Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma seeks a Nursing Student Intern (PRN) for UCO May 2027 nursing graduates. The position targets senior nursing students and works under supervision of the RN and OU College of Nursing faculty with a preceptor to complete required clinical hours.

Essential duties include monitoring patient health status, implementing the plan of care, performing treatments per the competency checklist, and collaborating with patients and families. Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a senior nursing student in an accredited college of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures; ability to communicate effectively and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health status under supervision of the RN and implement the plan of care.
• Perform treatments and procedures as defined by the skills competency checklist.
