OU Health is seeking a Student Nurse Technician intern in Oklahoma City within the Nursing Student Programs. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will learn healthcare support skills and gain hospital experience.

The role is open to OU College of Nursing Accelerated Program students graduating July 2027. You will perform routine patient-care tasks, monitor vitals, assist with treatments, and help with admissions and transfers under supervision.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program or recently completed one and applying to the licensure examination.
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques; strong communication and instruction-following abilities.

Responsabilités

• Monitor patient's health status under RN supervision and implement the plan of care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders as directed by the RN.
• Take and record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, weight).
• Perform blood glucose monitoring and IV/infusion checks as directed.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Restock rooms with supplies and maintain a clean patient environment.
