Job summary

The Nurse Extern must be enrolled in an accredited RN program, with senior or last-semester junior-year status preferred, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS required.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited RN Nursing Program; senior students preferred or last semester of junior year.

Responsibilities

• Collect assessment data and contribute to the nursing process.
• Document care activities according to OSUMC standards.
• Provide age-appropriate care under RN supervision and support patient care planning as described in policies.
