Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is hiring a Student Nurse Tech (SNT) for day shift, PRN. You will assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the IMC, supporting patient comfort and safety.

You must have completed the first semester of a BSN RN program or be enrolled in an ADN program and obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Prior healthcare experience preferred but not required, and academic success is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN RN program or ADN program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

The Student Nurse Tech (SNT) provides direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse as defined by the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. The SNT reports to the Director or designee.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Must have completed the first semester and currently enrolled in an accredited BSN RN program, or completed the equivalent time and be enrolled in a currently accredited ADN program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Preference will be given to prior work experience in a comparable health care setting
