BJC HealthCare is seeking a PRN Float Student Nurse Tech (SNT) to support patient care across East Region hospitals. This self-scheduled, system-wide float role helps you build clinical confidence and skills alongside experienced caregivers in settings like ED, ICU, PACU, telemetry, and med/surg.

You will travel to East Region locations (including Illinois) with 12 weekend hours and holiday rotation, plus a $3/hour float differential and mileage reimbursement.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of nursing fundamentals with clinical component required.
• Willingness to travel to all East Region locations (including Illinois).
• Ability to adapt quickly and provide compassionate, patient-centered care in new environments.
• Must submit end-of-term grades and upcoming school schedule to remain active.
• Targeted start date: 11/30, 12/14 or 1/11.
• Initial 3-week full-time training commitment before transitioning to regular schedule.

Role Purpose

Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health.

Responsibilities

• Assists nurse with patient and family education. Documents all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology. Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
