Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program.
• Preferred Experience: Successful completion of first year of the clinical nursing program. Completion of one clinical semester required.
• CNA certification through the MD Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care with emphasis on personal hygiene and comfort.
• Assist with admissions and orientation of patient to room and equipment.
• Assist with discharge processes and environmental care.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and data as per policy; collect specimens as requested.
• Report changes in patient condition to the assigned nurse.
• Mentor new staff and participate in care team coordination.
