Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Aide (CNA) student to contribute to high-quality patient care in a demanding clinical setting in Annapolis, MD. The role emphasizes direct patient care, safety, and collaboration with the health care team.

You will assist with admissions, daily care, and discharge processes while maintaining accurate vital signs documentation and patient comfort. CNA and BLS are required, and enrollment in a nursing program is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program.
• Successful completion of first year of the clinical nursing program. Completion of one clinical semester required.
• CNA certification through the MD Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients with attention to personal hygiene and comfort; maintains safety and comfort measures.
• Assists with admission of patients and orientation to the room and equipment.
• Assists with discharge by helping with dressing, gathering belongings, and transport; supports environmental staff after discharge.
• Performs data collection (vital signs, intake/output) and records as per policy; assists with mobilization as ordered.
• Recognizes and reports pain or changes in patient condition to the assigned nurse.
• Participates in orientation of new staff as a mentor when needed.
• Transports medications as per policy; ensures delivery to authorized personnel.
• Maintains adequate unit supplies and equipment; transports patients safely.
• Processes written medical orders and communicates urgent orders to care providers.
