Qualifications

• Currently enrolled nursing student in good standing.
• Able to start no more than 4 weeks before final semester begins.
• Intent to pursue RN position after graduation at Stormont Vail Health.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN preceptor with direct patient care under supervision.
• Observe and learn proper specimen collection and labeling.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote patient health.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and standard precautions.
• Take and document vital signs, med list, allergies, and patient history.
• Assist with activities of daily living and routine patient care tasks.
• Apply proper hand hygiene and PPE, keep patient rooms clean and organized.
• Document data accurately and communicate changes to the care team.
• Demonstrate compassionate care guided by caring theories and professional ethics.
